Winter is Coming – Light ‘er Up
As we head into the shorter evenings, you might be feeling many things. If you live in the Midwest, it might be a fear or anticipation of the long lights and cold days. Ice fishing and snowplows, salting the road and clearing the driveway. If you live in South Florida, it might mean long pants and snowbirds filling up the highways and byways. For us at Smart LED Concepts, it means business. You see the evenings no longer have to be dark, rather they are an opportunity to get festive and show the world what you are all about.
When the clock goes back, it is really your time to shine. To stand apart from all the other buildings that have chosen to keep the traditional nondescript lighting, to blend in rather than stand out. It is time to be part of the community showing your support for your local team – change up the colors and let social media do the rest. Perhaps you have a charity event or a cause that you support and you want the world to know about it – October is Breast Cancer Awareness month – why not go pink. If the NFL can get behind this wonderful cause, then so can you.
Get Festive
Tis the season to be jolly …… and so on. Even though you might not be feeling too festive or in the mood to celebrate, that doesn’t mean that your clients are not ready to party. From Halloween through to the New Year, there seems to be a different feeling in the air. People are traveling, getting together with loved ones hosting and attending parties. LED lights and LED technology help to create and sustain the mood. This is where color-changing RGBA LED lights really make a difference. You can tailor and customize your building to suit the season to reflect the customer’s mood. This will have another knock-on effect, it will keep attention on your building as it will be changing each month, for example, Pink in October, Orange at Halloween, Red, and Blue from Thanksgiving right through to the New Year.
Make Highways your Friend
The clocks going back an hour means that if you own a building off a busy highway or road you can have hundreds of thousands of extra eyeballs looking at your building during rush hour traffic each and every day. What a great opportunity to build your brand and increase customer awareness. Imagine having more eyeballs on your building every year than there are people watching the Superbowl. The extra hour means extra time for commuters to become clients. Don’t blend in – stand out, make a difference, create some good old fashioned T.O.M.A. Top of mind awareness. According to https://i95coalition.org an average of 72,000 cars travel on I95 daily with a peak of 300,000. Try and but a T.V. or radio ad advertisement that will deliver those numbers day on day year on year.
Spread Joy
On the dark nights ahead, become a beacon of light in your neighborhood. It can be long and lonely in the winter months, break up the night with some well placed, nicely designed LED lights. Be clever and strategic with your light design and control functions. Set the brightness to the right level. If you are thinking of putting an LED outdoor billboard remember to include a dimming sensor to dim the screen at night. This is a very important feature of LED billboards, it is a safety feature put in place to not blind motorists at night.
