Smart LED Concepts had an incredible opportunity appearing on the hit CNBC TV Show, Billion Dollar Buyer.
After weeks of planning and designing, Smart LED Concepts were awarded the lighting contract for Florida’s very first Mastro’s Ocean Club Restaurant by Landry’s CEO, Mr. Tilman Fertitta. Mr. Fertitta wanted us to bring our LED knowledge and expertise to one of his most iconic brands. We were then faced with the task of bringing this design concept to fruition. Sean Gleeson, the Managing Partner of Smart LED Concepts and his Senior Project Manager, Timothy Healion, had the pleasure of working with the Mastro’s Ocean Club top design team. Working together we were able to achieve what they envisioned for this new restaurant, located on Fort Lauderdale’s world famous Intracoastal. This special designed included unique features such as marble pillars and a custom designed ceilings. The addition of LED lighting to these unique features and more, greatly complimented the luxurious design of the space.
The marble pillars around the dining room were outfitted by Smart LED Concepts with a special recessed aluminum profile. This profile allowed a seamless straight line of LED light down the center of each pillar. LED light has not only enhances the look but also added a new dimension to the design. With the RGBW LED light that Smart LED Concepts used, Mastro’s management team can adjust the color at any time to make the main dining room one of a kind.
Working hand and hand with the millwork contractors, we were able to create a 3-dimensional ceiling using geometry shapes, coves and LED lights. Using RGBW LED tape, we wrapped each shape. This application gives full coverage to the ceiling cove after the final shapes were put in their place. An exclusive new feature was created that is one of a kind, it will certainly catch your eye as you enter the venue.
Working with the Mastro’s design team and electrical contractors, we created a fully automated lighting control system for the entire venue. All lighting fixtures in the restaurant are LED and capable of being dimmed to as low as 1%! With the addition of new RGBW LED fixtures throughout the restaurant, any lighting color scheme can be created to match any event at the push of a button. Perhaps the biggest feature, however, is the automation. Management no longer has to worry about remembering light switches or keeping everything at a consistent light level as the Smart LED Concepts’ control system automatically sets the scene daily at predetermined times. The system will automatically adjust the lighting throughout the restaurant, keeping the atmosphere consistent with the time of day. Using this control system allows Management more time to concentrate on their product and most importantly, their valued clientele.
