Lighting the exterior
Above is a stunning illustration of exterior hotel LED lighting can transform the entire landscape. It would be very hard to imagine a world without LED light and luckily we don’t have to. The Hard Rock Hotelhttps://www.seminolehardrockhollywood.com/ has at its disposal the ability to change the color and theme of the outside with a programmed control system. With over 16 million different color combinations to choose from the possibilities are almost endless.
What does this mean for your hotel?

You might not have the $1.5 billion budget that the Seminole Hard Rock enjoys but that doesn’t mean you can ignore the importance of lighting up your hotel properly. Hotels offer many advantages to architectural LED lighting solutions, at Smart LED Concepts we definitely have the right lights for your application. Most hotels have linear columns that can be highlighted to stand apart on a busy street or even alone off of a highway.
Budget and Beauty.
There is a misconception that lighting your Hotel with LED technology has to be an enormous expense, quality does come at a price but you can easily fit this into your budget if you plan it right. Most hotels have a massive amount of passing traffic as they are located on main thoroughfares. This means that visibility is a premium asset as such it should be a necessity to provide the best lighting available at the best price available.
It is advisable to look at all the options when choosing the right LED supplier for your exterior LED lighting plan. Look to things like experience years in business, past projects, are they too big – passing their overheads on to your lights. Do they have the programming skills, are they licensed and insured. How long have their team worked with them? Don’t be fooled by hype – look to past and present projects as a reliable reference to future projects. At Smart LED Conceptshttp://www.smartledconcepts.com we pride our work on our client’s satisfaction, a list of references can be provided upon request.
Care to the Environment.
We are based South Florida where there are thousands of hotels – a quick google search brings back that there are approx 422,997 hotel rooms spread throughout the state with 4,518 properties hosting them. With over 700 miles of coastline, a lot of these hotels are on the beach. This brings a lot of environmental considerations for lighting hotel properties. Turtle nesting season is a particular issue in Florida. The majority of nesting in Florida occurs between May 1st and October 31st. About 90% of all sea turtle nesting in the United States takes place on Florida’s beacheshttps://conserveturtles.org/.
The Florida Wildlife Commission (FWC) has very strict guidelines to protect the turtles and LED technology is at the heart of helping solve the problem through the use of amber lights -set to a frequency that is invisible to the turtles.
There are other considerations when choosing exterior LED hotel lights. Saltwater has an adverse effect on electronics in general, then you have to deal with ongoing storms and the continuous sun beating down on the light fixtures. That is why is necessary to have the proper fixtures and connections in place to protect the lights. Don’t even think about not using either UL or ETL listed products with a minimum of IP65 rating for your exterior hotel LED lighting.
What’s the point of having a fantastic array of RGBA LED hotel exterior lights if you cant have a bit of fun with them and help your brand along the way. As I mentioned earlier, with color-changing LED lights you can have up to 10 million different color combinations (although the human eye can only distinguish a mere 10 million of them:). At Smart LED Concepts we will help you choose the right controller to suit your particular needs. It is never a one size fits all situation, we also will program your exterior LED hotel lights – this can be done on-site or off-site.
